How to install FM Modifier:
1. Begin installation of the program by running the .exe file
2. Follow the instructions until it is completed

How to use FM Modifier:
1. Open FM2008 and load your game
2. Open FM Modifier and click Load
Notes
- When you are runing on Vista, don't install to system volume (like C: ), otherwise you need to select the 'Run as admin' by right click
- Added 'Current in game' button; load data as you open in game

Known working keyboard shortcuts:
Ctrl + B go browse pool
Ctrl + F go searching box
Ctrl + L list menu
Ctrl + O option menu

FM SoundPack 2008

They say ...

FM Soundpack 2008 is the return of the best and most popular soundpack that was done for FM2005 and FM2006. FM Soundpack 2008 is a full release for FM2008.

This enhances your game by removing the pointless sounds already in the game, and replacing them with top quality sounds from past CM (such as CM 01/02, etc).
It also comes with a huge selection of personal club chants from leagues around Europe, South America and other countries.

Its way more than double the chants you get with the game, plus they add way more to the match day atmosphere.

The code in the config is also edited to ensure it provides more atmosphere.

Works on Mac as well, providing you have a .rar executer.

How To Install
Simply place the "sounds" & "match events" folders in the data folder, which is located on your C:\Program Files\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\data.

You will be asked if you want to replace the original files, click "yes to all", however it is recommended you backup the original before use.

If you struggle to install, please look at the step-by-step picture guide (HOW TO INSTALL file which is for 2006 but works the same way), which is included in this pack.

For Best Results
Please make sure that you have selected to play "all" sounds in the options area inside the game
This can be found in the "preference" This will make sure you hear all the sounds.

Also if you want to hear all the sounds throughout the game, make sure the (highlight) slide bars (when viewing the 2d pitch) are set nearest to the middle as possible in order to hear as many chants as possible

This pack has been tested many times, nothing has been affected while testing and has NOT caused damage/loss to any files.

However if there are any problems you acknowledge that we have no responsibility for any loss or damage to your game and/or computer system.

Current Status
The current version is limited in functionality (beta 2, build 83), and you all know what the word beta means. You are using it at your own risk and that is as beta testers.

Know Issues

Your best bet to get this beta version working
1. Make sure you have FM08 and not WWSM08
2. Make sure you disable "Compress Saved Games" within the Game Preferences and Confirm it
3. Install latest official Patch 8.0.1 (and not one of the beta patches) [after that, you should have version 8.0.1 114310]
4. Start a new game with Patch 8.0.1
5. Save your game and Load it in FM Genie Scout 2008

Why you have this download and not genie.fm?
The file might have been leaked through the official SI forums, but it was Eugene himself, who uploaded the file online, in the known download folder of FM Genie Scout 2007. And of course, FM addicts were spying on this, until recently unprotected, folder all the time. The file was already available from Rapidshare (and still is) before we added it here.
You won't find it on the official Genie site, until all critical errors get fixed first and a new more stable beta will get out.

Compatibility
- This version seemed to be compatible with latest patch 8.0.1 (8.0.1.114310) and new games with the patch update. This means it wouldn't work with 8.0.0 or 8.0.1 for a game started in 8.0.0. However, some users reported that it worked for their 8.0.0 save game.
- Compatible with Windows Vista. However, Vista users should right click the downloaded FMGenieScout.exe file and run as Administrator, as well as running FM2008 as Administrator (otherwise Genie Scout won't be able to access the protected memory area of FM2008 - that's the way that viruses/trojans traditionally install themselves into other programs on your computer).
In addition, Vista users should also turn off User Access Control (UAC - Google "Turn off UAC" if not sure) if they are still having problems.

FM2008 Mini Scout

FM2008 Mini Scout is a simple scouting utility for Football Manager 2008.

Just like FM2008 Genie Scout, it’s a cheaters best friend for Football Manager 2008. It allows you to see every inch of a players data in FM2008, including his current ability as well as potential ability, so you can not only see how good a player is at the moment, but how much he’ll improve and who’ll be the stars of the future.

The good thing about FM2008 Mini Scout, over other scouting tools such as FM2008 Genie Scout is that it updates as you browse your game, rather than having to be loaded each time, it also allows you to edit player data, as well as scout your players, which is a benefit.

However it lacks the depth of other scouting tools such as FM2008 Genie Scout, but this tool is for those people who just want a quick peak at the hidden stats which make up there players in Football Manager 2008.
